I'm a writer, editor, and communications strategist. My work falls into two categories: science/technology and ethics/life philosophy.
My science editing/writing is focused on computer science (and its many sub-fields), engineering, psychology, neuroscience, and the history of science. You can find a lot of my writing on the Adobe Research News page.
My work on ethics, life philosophy, and parenting is inspired by ancient Stoicism. I am interested in how this ancient philosophy can be applied to our everyday lives, especially as parents. I write about these explorations in The Stoic Mom.
My work has been published in Newsweek, The San Francisco Chronicle, The Industry Standard, California Lawyer, Stanford Business, Stanford Report, Biomedical Computation Review, San Francisco Daily Journal, Los Angeles Daily Journal, Artweek, and more. And ever since I could hold a pencil, I've also pursued creative writing - especially poetry. My book of poetic memoir is called Words That Carry Us.
I earned my undergraduate degree at Harvard College and my master's at Stanford University.
