I'm Meredith Alexander Kunz
and I make complex ideas clear, from AI research to ancient philosophy.
Briefly
I'm Director of Research and Innovation Communications at Adobe, where I lead the team that tells the story of a lab working on generative and agentic AI, LLMs, and computer vision. I joined in 2017 as its first science writer and built the program from there: the news site, the technical blog, the social channels, the video series, and the messaging behind keynotes and executive presentations by the lab's VP and Head.
Before Adobe I was a journalist and communications strategist, with writing in Newsweek, the San Francisco Chronicle, and Stanford Magazine. At Stanford I supported research initiatives and gifts of $10 million and up. I studied history and literature at Harvard, and history at Stanford.
I'm co-author of Beyond Stoicism, published in the UK as Live Like a Philosopher and out now in Spanish. I've written The Stoic Mom since 2016, and I host The Philosopher's Compass.
I write, lead research communications, host a podcast, and coach.
Right now
I'm writing about how a Stoic approach helps parents thrive, not just survive. We become better people, and our kids pick up emotional intelligence and clearer thinking.
I've written about Stoic philosophy for parents, caregivers, and kids in The Stoic Mom blog since 2016, on Substack since 2022.
